European Business Coach for Mayors
The recognised coaching qualification for mayors and senior leaders in public administration – for effective leadership in municipality, council and administration.

Leading a municipality or public authority means standing between citizens, council, administration and politics – winning people over, moderating conflicts and shaping change that lasts. This training gives you the toolkit of a professional coach: a sound methodological repertoire, plenty of practice and qualified feedback.
You learn to develop your staff and leadership teams in a targeted way, to conduct conversations clearly and respectfully, and to guide change processes in public administration with confidence – in exchange with peers facing similar challenges.

Frequently asked questions
Can I combine the training with my public office?
Yes. The three in-person weeks are scheduled well in advance and can be blocked early in your council and meeting calendar; in between you learn flexibly via the platform and gather coaching practice at your own pace.
When will the dates be?
Dates are still being planned. Pre-register without obligation – we will let you know as soon as they are fixed.
What happens if I miss an in-person week?
Talk to us early – missed units can usually be made up in the next cohort.
Do I need prior coaching experience?
No. You bring your leadership experience from municipality and administration; we build the methodological repertoire together. Openness to self-reflection is the key prerequisite.
How is the training financed?
Often via the training budget of your municipality or authority; depending on your federal state and status, educational leave may also apply. We are happy to check your options with you.
What does the alumni network offer?
Access to over 1,000 graduates: peer exchange – including with other leaders from the public sector –, continuing-education impulses and a place in the SYNK community.
