Principle

This website works without analytics services, without ad networks and without any identifier that would recognise you. It shows no consent banner because it stores nothing that would require consent. Everything that is actually processed is described in full below.

Hosting and server logs

The website runs on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, in a data centre in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

When a page is requested, the server processes the connection data technically required to serve it: IP address, time, requested address, volume transferred, status code and the identifier sent by your browser. This data is needed to deliver the page and to fend off attacks.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the site. The logs are neither combined with other data nor used to analyse behaviour.

Contact form

The details submitted through the contact form — name, email address and, where given, company, subject and message — are stored in order to handle your enquiry. We also record which page the enquiry was started from and which campaign parameters the calling address carried.

The form accepts nothing without your confirmation of this privacy notice. The time of consent is stored because consent has to be demonstrable.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where the enquiry is aimed at a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The details are deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention period applies.

The form contains a field invisible to humans that fends off automated submissions. It processes no personal data.

Notification of incoming enquiries

To deliver the notification to our staff we use Sendinblue GmbH (Brevo), Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin. The details given in the form are transmitted for this purpose. The provider processes them on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR, within the European Union.

Newsletter

The newsletter requires nothing but your email address. Sign-up uses double opt-in: after entering your address you receive an email with a confirmation link, and only once you follow it is the address added to the list. Sign-up and confirmation are stored with their time so that consent remains demonstrable.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — through the unsubscribe link in every message, or informally to the address above. The address is then removed from the list.

Measuring reach without recognising anyone

To see which content is in demand, this website counts events — a page being opened, a question being expanded. All that is stored is a counter per day, type of event, item concerned and language.

No individual event comes into being: no IP address, no time of day, no session, no browser identifier — nothing from which a single visit or a path across several pages could be reconstructed. An existing counter is simply increased by one.

No information is stored on or read from your device for this purpose, so § 25 TDDDG does not apply and no consent is required. No personal data arises. We evaluate the figures ourselves and share them with no one.

Information stored on your device

This website sets no cookies for advertising or analytics. The only things stored are:

  • A cookie named NEXT_LOCALE that remembers the language you chose. It is required for the operation you asked for and is exempt from consent under § 25(2)(2) TDDDG.
  • Your selection in the on-page assistant “Leada” (role and topics) in the browser’s sessionStorage. It never leaves your device, is never read by us, and is deleted when you close the browser tab. Nothing is recognised beyond a single visit.

Content loaded from other providers

In a few places this website embeds content that your browser fetches directly from the provider concerned. The provider inevitably receives your IP address. This concerns:

  • Client logos and book covers from the Squarespace content delivery network. Since 29 August 2026 the lead images and portraits are served from our own server and no longer reach that provider. The provider is Squarespace Ireland Ltd.; transfer to Squarespace Inc. in the USA cannot be ruled out. This embedding dates from our previous website and is being replaced — the images are gradually moving to our own server.
  • The project reports linked as PDFs, which currently also still sit with that provider.
  • The podcast player of Podigee GmbH, Schlesische Straße 26, 10997 Berlin, on the “Podcast” page. It loads only when that page is opened.
  • Two book covers from the websites zukunft-fuehren.com and 3x8.leada.de.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is presenting our content in full.

Your rights

You have the right to information about the data held about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Any consent you have given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

An informal message to the address above is enough.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
